October Recap and Onto November!

Hey there! Been a little while since my last blog post. Hope y'all had a happy Halloween and are in good times! As for myself, the month of October was a very busy one when it came to juggling projects. So much so that I ended up straining my arm and wrist muscles, thankfully nothing serious, but still a concern showing how much work I was tackling. A lot of that work was self-imposed, but still. ^^;

Amidst the spooktacular streams we had over on my Twitch Channel, I had the pleasure of creating these pieces with my chat. The former was extra fun as all the costumes were voted in by viewers (thank you again to those who attended!)

During the October streams we also saw the return of some older faces from my catalogue of characters:

The Ghoulish girls Olivia and Dana made their spooky return for the month, and so did my old School of Hard Knocks characters, Z and Alex. It made for a very fun, and oddly fitting crossover!

Heck, this month even introduced us to a new friend for Kiki in her comics!

Her name is Mimi! She's a shy panther that likes to experiment with her cooking and other concoctions. Best to not disturb her while she works though...

The Kiki comics are on a much more casual workflow, but we'll be sure to see Mimi return again in future strips. ^_^

Along with these illustrations, the month of October also saw some new Dino Bones comics, and the conclusion to the recent Chapter in Temple Hunters!

On the subject of Temple Hunters, I was hoping to have the next Chapter in the comic (Chapter 7) completed or at least mostly done by the end of this year. Sadly that won't be the case, and I won't be pushing myself for it so that I can prioritize my physical and mental health. Making comics is a TON of fun, but it is also extremely time-consuming, and the long, long hours can really wear you down over time. My current plan is to keep my workflow at the consistent pace it has been for some time, but very likely dialing it back when it comes to making illustrations. I tend to hit the burnout wall around this time of year, and I'd like to not hit it AS hard as I have in years past, if I can help it. Haha

There's a lot that I want to do/accomplish with both Dino Bones and Temple Hunters, and I'm aiming for 2027 to fulfill at least a couple of those goals. One of which being some lengthier plots/stories for the Dino crew! (I've had a number of storylines written and looking forward to sharing them with you all!) Other goals include some merch related stuff, but at the end of the day those aren't as high of a priority as the comics themselves, even if I think some new merch would be super cool.

So what exactly can we expect from November? Well I feel it best to dial things back and just focus on the Dino comics, along with taking some freelancing work if I can. I'd like to save some creative energy for a nice burst around Christmas time this year, as opposed to just being burnt out for a month. ^^;

With Thanksgiving around the corner, it'll be best to spend time with my family while my day-job tries its best to drive me insane... @_@ 'til we meet again,

Stay creative!
