Happy Halloween!
Well, ALMOST Halloween (as of this writing haha).
Once again it feels like the month has passed by before we even noticed. It's not all bad though, at least the dinos got their candy! :P
So recently I've had to make some changes to my daily life schedule, that being I've needed to pick up a part-time job and cut back on the full-time freelancing that I'd been doing for quite some time. In a way it's been a good change, because unfortunately I'd been hitting several waves of creative burnout and it was effecting my work pretty harshly, so thankfully now I can give myself free-time that isn't riddled with guilt over not working 24/7 to make ends meet. And quite honestly I've come to realize I'm happy with this change overall. For years I'd been stressing and pressuring myself to only be a freelance artist, but during the last year putting myself under that kind of pressure had hit its breaking point. If this were a few years ago or even a year ago, I'd be beating myself up over the situation I'm in, however now I find myself very comfortable and ok with it. Sometimes we just need to have some life experiences to find what pieces fit for us and that's ok.
Of course this isn't the end of me taking commissions or freelance projects, but I am going to take a break for a little while to focus on personal projects and art that makes me happy (on my days off of course. lol). And speaking of personal projects, it's been a blast creating more "Dino Bones" and soon enough we'll be seeing another comic make it's debut as well. ;D I'm glad y'all have been enjoying the comics as well, it means a lot!
Anyway, as for Halloween itself, it's also my lovely girlfriend Llaeli's birthday, so it'll be double the fun but still the same amount of spooks. :P I'll also need to watch some horror movies to celebrate the holiday.
That's all for now, until next time y'all, take care and stay safe!
And don't get too scared!
WoooOOOoooo...
