Already a Busy Year
A busy year already indeed. I've been working on a good number of different things as of late, and haven't had a whole lot of time to make new art purely for myself, but that's a good thing! I'm glad to have been busy with making art for people, and I'd like to see it continue to grow. That's not to say I haven't completely stopped making my own projects of course. I've done some new pieces purely for enjoyment, or to relax.
I'm also in the process of finishing the first episode in my new comic, Dinosaur Bones! It'll be featuring my dinosaur characters Zarland, Trixie, and Roxie, as well as others who I've kept low-key. The original goal was to have it done by the end of January, but here we are at the 30th of the month and I still have a handful of pages to finish. Not that it's a bad thing, I'm just taking it at the pace it needs so it'll be good and ready once it's finished.
Aside from that I'll be getting back into the swing of uploading Speed Paint videos regularly (hit a good stride last October, but life and the holidays got in the way now I'm back picking up the pieces again), I'd like for them to be posted at least once a week. There are also some other plans in the works that I can't really quite talk about currently (still getting everything worked out before it can be official), but I'm excited to share them when the time comes.
And finally, I have some new animation stuff happening. I had a real issue in the past trying to force myself into making animated shorts, and getting burned out really quick because of it. Not to mention there were a lot of mental issues effecting my motivation to even open my animation program. Thankfully that's all behind me now, and rather than stressing about creating animated shorts regularly, I'll be putting a larger focus on doing small/shorter animations to help keep the creative juices flowing. This is one that's currently in the works!
Well that's all I've got to say for now. Hopefully next time I write a new blog post it won't be months later. ;P
'Til next time!
